A large Byzantine/Islamic Glass Weight. A large Byzantine/Islamic glass weight, c. 7th - 10th Century AD, with nice blue-green color, the top with a raised square divided into four compartments, the back flat, hole at top for suspension. 2 ½ in x 2 3/8 in (6.4 x 6 cm). Could also be a loom weight, but came from a collection of ancient weights. Ex Malter, 1990s; Ex Los Angeles private collection. Est. Value $200 - $300.
