Pair of Roman Ceramic Lamps. A pair of Roman ceramic lamps with a harpy, 1st Century AD, she stands on bird-like feet, her tail and wings behind her. The spout is rounded with circular wick hole, volutes on the shoulder, the base of the lamp a raised disk, L: 3 5/8” (9.2 cm). Intact, with signs of use in antiquity. Ex Orange County private collection. Value range: $300 - $400.
