Britain, Durotriges. local imitative issue. ca. 58 B.C.- A.D. 43 AR stater (drachm?) (18.3 mm, 3.97 g). Cranborne Chase Type AR stater - distant prototype: Philip II of Macedon. Deconstructed pellet-and-line style wreath, cloak and crescents: stylized head of Apollo / Deconstructed pellet-and-line style disjointed horse left: stylized chariot derived from youth on horseback, left; flower in exergue. SCBC 365-7. VF for type, well struck on full-size flan, light toning.
