A marvelous Lambayeque (Sican) Dragon bottle from Peru, ca. 700 – 1300 AD.  This exceptional example is 8” high and features four panels depicting a shaman performing a rain ceremony.  The bridge is decorated with water symbols and the characteristic serpent heads protruding from under the spouts are nicely detailed.  In exceptional condition, with strong mineral encrustation.  Ex Gallatin estate.  Value range $450 - $650.
