Picenum, Ancona. Ca. 300-250 B.C. AE 18 (17.7 mm, 5.62 g, 6 h). Head of Aphrodite right; M behind / AΓ[KΩN], right arm holding palm branch, two stars above the bicep. SNG ANS 109; SNG France 201; Rutter, HN 1. aVF. Extremely rare.

Extremely rare. Only seven specimens found at Coin Archives, this coin being nicer than any specimens cited. An example of this type was recently sold by Naville Numismatics, Auction 57, lot 7, which hammered for ?575 ($709 USD). This coin type is the only known coin to have been struck at this city. This is a very rare coin from an even rarer city.
