Tairona Pendant form Colombia, ca. 1000 - 1500 AD. A rare Tairona pectoral pendant from Colombia, ca. 1000 - 1500 AD. It is 2-3/4” long and is carved from the columella of a large shell. It depicts a bird of prey and is heavily incised with various designs. Good mineral deposits, mounted on custom stand. Ex New World Artifacts Gallery. Cf.
