Alexander Jannaeus ?. 103-76 B.C.E. Æ prutah (12.4 mm, 1.30 g). Barbarous Imitation. Legend within wreath / Double cornucopia adorned with ribbons, pomegranate between horns. cf. Hendin 1144; cf. Meshorer TJC Q. EF, attractive red patina.
The obverse is double struck but clearly shows the casting sprue. The reverse legend is barbarous but sharp, the exact type being imitated is not certain.
