Octavian. 44-27 B.C. AR denarius (17.8 mm, 3.57 g, 12 h). Uncertain mint, 35-34 B.C. Bare head right / IMP/CAE-SAR/DIVI•F, round shield with rows of studs and central boss. RIC 543a; RSC 126; BMCRE 309. aVF. 

Both the mint and the date of issue for this type are uncertain. This type may have been struck in Spain, Italy, or a military mint travelling with Octavian in Illyricum. David Sear dates the type to 27-26 B.C.
