Byzantine Ceramic Lamp. A Byzantine ceramic lamp from the Holy Land, 7th - 8th Century AD, nicely decorated with laurel bands on the shoulders, the fill-hole and wick-hole enclosed by a low wall, raised pellets and an ornate cross between; bottom with low ring base. L: 3 ½” (8.6 cm). Intact, signs of use in antiquity. Ex Orange County private collection.
