								Egyptian Amulet of Sekhmet, Goddess of War and Destruction. A blue-green faience amulet of Sekhmet, in lioness form, measuring 25 mm long. Chipped back, some faience remaining, Egypt, Late Period, ca. 664-332 B.C. Sekhmet was the lioness-headed goddess of war and destruction. She was the sister and wife of Ptah.
